01
Introduction
The Flowstop flood barrier consists of two cushions.
The top cushion is designed to push sideways against the wall. When pressured, it locks the device in place and acts as a roof for the lower cushion.
The lower cushion is now stuck between the ground and the upper cushion. When you inflate it, it expands and attempts to rise, but it’s stopped by the upper cushion and forced to press against the ground instead, creating a perfect waterproof seal.

To use Flowstop, you need a framed opening.

In the absence of a frame, contact us, so we can help you build one.
02
Width the frame
Your flowstop can be as long as you need.
Measure the width of your opening from wall to wall.
Please, make sure to measure the size of the opening you want to protect and not the size of your door.

03
Depth of the frame
Your opening needs to be deep enough to help the FlowStop.
The depth of your FlowStop depends on its width. The longer the FlowStop, the thicker it will be.
Ensure you have a flat and uniform surface for the full depth and height of the flowstop emplacement.
For Devices up to 78"
The FlowStop will be 6" deep
The frame needs to be
at least 4" deep
For devices 78" and up
The FlowStop will be 8" deep
The frame needs to be
at least 5.33" deep

FlowStop needs at least 2/3 of its depth to push against the wall.
04
Height
Flowstop can be as tall as you need.

Please investigate how much water is expected in your zone and plan accordingly.
If your FlowStop is against a door, ensure the handle or anything else won’t get in the way.

Flowstops up to 78" wide have a minimum height of 31.5"
Flowstops longer than 118" have a minimum height of 39.5"
